Vrahassi is a gorgeous mountain village close to the route of the National road and within 6kms of the sea at the neighbouring villages of Milatos and Sissi. It is reputed to have the best air quality on the whole island with fresh cooling breezes even in the height of summer. The village has a few local shops, tavernas and kafeneons, as well as a bus service to neighbouring towns and Heraklion.
